Riverside Yoga on Eel Pie

Innervate Your Body & Mind with Yoga This Easter on Eel Pie Island

Join me on Easter Saturday for the spring half-day yoga immersion on the beautiful Eel Pie Island in the River Thames at Twickenham.

As we throw off the heaviness of winter, spring is traditionally the time for cleansing and detoxifying the body, unblocking stagnant energy and rejuvenating the mind.

Classical yoga and Aurveyda teach us that the digestive system is at the root of our vital health. A clear and clean digestive system leads to an increase in vitality, clarity, metabolism, and improved skin, eyes, sleep and body functioning.

About the Emergence  Workshop

This Spring In-Person gathering will be focusing on Yoga and breathwork for detoxifying and re-energising the body after the winter season. We will learn how to boost the innate detox functions of our body using a special extended 2-hour yoga detox yoga and movement sequence.  First raising energy and building heat and then moving to a place of deep rest through a series of yin postures especially chosen for their detoxification effect. We will also explore some of the classical cleansing yoga techniques to be practiced independently.

In an extended Yoga Nidra session, we will discover and choose our San Kalpa for this phase in our lives planting the seeds of our hearts deepest desires as we rest within the sanctuaries of our own bodies.

Completing the afternoon with a closing circle and meditation to call in and witness each others desires and welcome and be thankful for the abundance and fecundity of Spring in our bodies and lives.

An ideal way to begin your easter holiday, spring clean your body/mind system and set a powerful intention to call in your hearts deepest desires this Spring.

About Eel Pie Island

Eel Pie Island is a small private island accessed via a footbridge from Twickenham riverside and across the water from Richmond. It is home to a large artist’s community and an array of wonderfully eccentric and curious properties as well as a really colourful rock n roll history. At Springtime, the Island is lush and covered in flowers – a wonderful place to spend an afternoon connecting with nature and welcoming spring into our own bodies and minds.

I look forward to celebrating Yoga, Community and Spring-time with you there.

About Me:

I am a senior registered yoga teacher and teacher trainer with 20 years of teaching experience. I teach hatha, vinyasa and yin yoga alongside Yoga Nidra, meditation and mindfulness. I am also a holistic pelvic health specialist and a perinatal specialist.

My yoga is creative, fluid and somatically-informed. I love to keep you engaged and gently challenged from all perspectives. When we step onto the mat we are entering the sanctuary of our bodies and through the gateway of teh bodywork, experiencing our own yogic consciousness. AS a movement teacher, I am always discovering fresh, and new ways of embodying and experiencing ourselves. All my classes are infused with mindful awareness and the teachings of yoga philosophy.
