Hatha Yoga

Nadia’s weekly candle-lit Hatha class offers a full repertoire of held yoga postures, salutations, flowing sequences, inversions and seated postures to prepare the body. The approach is mindful with an emphasis placed on establishing presence and embodied awareness throughout. A strong Asana practice is followed by pranayama and meditation/relaxation to still the awakened energies and experience the settled mind. Nadia welcomes postnatal mums in her Hatha Yoga Classes.

Beginners Yoga

Beginnings are wonderful places to be – especially in the realm of Yoga. New to the 2018 timetable Nadia’s 12 week Beginners Course promises a comprehensive introduction to the practice of Yoga. New students will learn the Sun salutations, the Foundation Postures and their benefits, an introduction to the breath-work of Yoga, (Pranayama) and the relaxation practices. Through the structure of the physical practices Nadia will weave the wisdom teachings of Yoga coming from the ancient Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and other key yogic texts that followed. Expect to leave feeling wonderful.

Pregnancy Yoga and Mindful Birthing Course (14-42 weeks)

Nadia has merged her two pregnancy classes into one rich and wonderful pregnancy experience designed to awaken, make flexible and bring stability to the pregnant body and mind. Nadia’s pregnancy yoga classes combine slow-flow yoga sequences with plenty of guided mindful awareness to encourage students into the optimum yogic state. Classes are dynamic but accessible to everyone – irrespective of gestation and experience. There is plenty of instruction and individual support. Each session offers pranayama and meditation/relaxation to encourage the body to release tensions, the mind to become still and the mother to create a deeper connection with her growing baby. Priority is given to supporting the pregnancy on all levels and establishing a strong internally-focused practice as this is what will be most useful during the childbirth experience. Each of the 12 sessions will have a Mindfulness technique, teaching or birth education lesson-theme woven into the physical practice. The aim is for each pregnant woman to feel, and experience her developing internal practice at both the level of her pregnant body and mind.  Nadia is a FEDANT approved Birth Educator as well as a Birth Doula and her birth education is based on up-to-the-minute evidence-based information and published research. Her Yoga and Mindfulness teaching is honed over 12 years of diverse teaching and training experience within these two inter-related fields.

This course is ideal for any woman – irrespective of her birth choices – who wishes to support herself properly on her journey to Motherhood, explore her inner world and equip herself with skills that will carry her through the birth of her child and into motherhood too.
